Lodge has been dedicated to manufacturing quality cast iron products for over 100 years, products that can be passed down from one generation to the next. From summertime campouts to Sunday night dinners, Lodge is proud to be a part of your table.

The Lodge 17 inch Seasoned Cast Iron Skillet offers both elegance and versatility for your kitchen and campsite. Whether you're a novice cook or a seasoned expert, this pan is perfect for a crowd and can be passed down through generations. Use it for simple one-pan meals or complex family recipes. This skillet seamlessly transitions from the kitchen to the table, allowing you to create lasting memories with every meal.

Caring for your cast iron doesn't have to be complicated. Lodge cookware comes pre-seasoned and ready to use, so you can start cooking your family's favorite recipes right away. You can use it on any heat source, from the stovetop to the campfire (but not the microwave). The more you use it, the better the seasoning will become.

After hand-washing your cookware, simply place it on a burner for a few minutes to dry, then rub on a thin layer of cooking oil. For extra messy situations, simmer some water in the pan and use a pan scraper once it's cooled. To prevent rust and ensure excellent maintenance, always dry your cookware promptly and store it in a cool, dry place.

Located between the Appalachian Mountains and the Tennessee River, the small town of South Pittsburg, TN, is the proud home of Lodge. This town is built on family values, American history, and high-quality cookware. All Lodge seasoned cast iron and carbon steel cookware is proudly made in the USA, ensuring the craftsmanship that has been passed down through generations.

If the seasoning on your pan becomes sticky, it's a sign of excess oil that hasn't fully converted to seasoning. To remedy this, place the cookware upside down on the top rack of your oven and bake it at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 1 hour. Allow it to cool, and repeat the process if necessary. The maximum heating temperature for Lodge cookware is 500 degrees Fahrenheit.

Lodge cast iron cookware is the perfect kitchen tool for beginners, home cooks, and chefs alike. Cast iron can handle any cooktop, oven, grill, and open flame. Crafted in America with iron and oil, its naturally seasoned cooking surface creates an easy-release finish that improves with use.

Seasoning is the process of baking oil into the iron, creating a natural, easy-release finish and helping prevent your pan from rusting. Lodge pre-seasons all cast iron cookware with 100% natural vegetable oil, with no synthetic coatings or chemicals. The more you use your Lodge cookware, the better the seasoning will become.

If you notice a spot that looks like rust on your new pan, don't panic - it's not broken. This is simply oil that hasn't fully carbonized. With regular use and care, the spot will disappear. If you do notice rust, simply scour the affected area with steel wool, wash with warm water, dry completely, and rub with vegetable oil.

Lodge cast iron cookware offers unparalleled heat retention, providing edge-to-edge even cooking every time you use your skillet. Cast iron is slow to heat up but retains heat longer, making it ideal for pan-frying and roasting. These delicious moments are cast to last.

Lodge is more than just a business; it's a family. The Lodge family founded the company in 1896, and they still own it today. From environmental responsibility to community development, their heads and hearts are rooted in America. Lodge products are made in the USA with non-toxic, PFOA & PTFE-free materials.
